| The Lord is my light and salvation whom shall I fear…? Ps 27v1 |
If that verse does not get to you, you must be so far in your sin that you almost seem lost. You are not lost… help is at hand.
We all started out as sinners and fallen short of the glory of God. (Rom 3v23) When God hardened our hearts we lived sinful lives. Some of us stole, some of us were fornicators, some of us had unbelief, some of us overate and the list goes on and on.
At one stage in my life, I went through so much heartache and pain and hunger and…all I wanted was to get away from it. I went to church one day and gave my heart to the Lord. You will notice the way I told the story of my salvation as blah blah blah…
When things were better I rejected God. I was young and needed a way out. When God chose me second time around I accepted and gave my all. My point is that I believe God chooses us and I chose Him then to survive. When he hardened our hearts, he had a plan of action. Is she ready to serve me? Will she give her all or will she only be happy with me giving and giving and as soon as trouble comes she hates me? Ultimately that is our question to answer. The Lord is faithful all the time.
If you read the story of Job; he went through it all in a short period of time. He lost so much but his trust was in the Lord. ‘But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold’ (Job23v10). Job went through all those things, God has tried him in the fire and now he will turn out as gold. Can you imagine… whatever you are going through is so hard but if you press on and stand firm at God’s feet, you will come out as gold! Your 1 car will become 2, your tea lady job will become an admin job, and whatever you desire will come to pass if you only believe.
Prayer for the day:
Dear Lord. You are my light and my salvation. I shall not fear. You are for me and not against me. Let your light shine clear in my life and may I know you always. I love you, Lord. Amen
